INTRODUCTION OF THE LABORATORY

The Surface Digitization and Length Measurement Laboratory works with the equipment of the GOM company. Its main activities include 3D coordinate measurement or 3D optical surface ditiziation. ATOS systems can also be used in a variety of industries, such as sheet metal parts, tools and castings, turbine blades, prototypes, injection molded and cast parts. In addition, with Argus systems, the laboratory inspects sheet metal components and helps optimize sheet metal forming processes. The sensors of the ARAMIS product family are suitable for the dynamic measurement of 3D coordinates, 3D displacement and 3D surface deformation.

INTRODUCTION OF TESTS

Name of the test The standard on which the test is based  Accredited test Y/N Short description
Surface digitisation Not relevant N Almost any surface, part, tool or tool can be digitized during the test, resulting in a stl point cloud that can be handled by CAD programs. The measurement can be performed at the customer's site, on site or in the University's laboratory.
Tool wear test Not relevant N The test is used to examine various tool wear or localised wear locations within the tool. The measurement can be performed at the customer's site, on site or in the University's laboratory.
Tool test Not relevant N During the inspection, various tools are measured and a comparison with the CAD model or even a full drawing verification is made. Measurements can be carried out at the customer's premises, on site or in the University's laboratory.
Hardware test Not relevant N During the test, various devices are measured and a comparison with the CAD model or even a full drawing is made. Measurements can be carried out at the customer's premises, on site or in the University's laboratory.
Optimisation of the plate forming process Not relevant N During the test, sheet metal parts or complete sheet metal forming processes are inspected and at the end of the measurement, a picture is obtained of possible defects and critical points in the manufacturing process. Measurements can be carried out at the customer's premises, on site or in the University's laboratory.
Stress analysis Not relevant N The test involves real-time stress analysis of various components or structures. The measurement can be carried out at the customer's site, on-site or in the University's laboratory.
3D displacement, deformation analysis Not relevant N The test involves real-time deformation analysis of various components or structures. The measurement can be carried out at the customer's site, on-site or in the University's laboratory.
